Just like God said to Pharaoh in Exodus, Let my people go!, so we too must let go of the bitterness, grudges, and resentment that we harbor. As Pharaoh was hit by plagues, so we too can be hit by tragic events when we fail to let go, and move on.

This poem is a reminder that to become the greatest good, we must draw towards God. If we do nothing, we will not do the greater good, we will fall short. It is through the Holy Spirit, a personal connection with God that we have the ability to best deliver the greatest good that we can express and become, and when this happens, when we intentionally follow after God, our thoughts of sin and death fade away.
Also to note, that being close to God, means imitating His character. Some think that there is not a hell, or that there is no evil or no devil, it really does not matter. People say those things sometimes because they want to follow their ego, or sinful nature, or what have you, it does not matter. If you want an excuse to do anything you want, than what you are saying is that you do not want to be like God. It is that simple. If you want to be like God, like Christ, than you will live in a way, which aligns with that, and we have enough knowledge through the Bible to know what is good, and what God’s character is like. Consider this: Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. (Philippians 4:8) If you are living your life according to that, than I can tell you, you will not chase after the things of this world, and you will not want the things that are considered evil. That is what this prayer, reminder is saying. If you truly are, trying to imitate God, than you will not desire nor want the things that are not of God. That is the simple truth.
The relationship that every individual has with God, is unique, and it is ok to have a different way to relate. What works for you may or may not work for someone else, and that is ok, but if you have a way that works, then keep with that way. I write this because it is common, to see someone and try to copy what they do, only to find that it does not work for you. It may work, or it may not. I write this to convey, that your way may be different. For me, I do not meditate for much more than a couple seconds sometime, and I have all the benefit I need. Others need hours or days. I do not feel things in the stomach or abdomen like some, I feel things in the head. For a long time, I just felt like I could not connect, what I dod not realize was, that I just connected differently. So for everyone like me, who is trying to connect to God, and its not working, step back, and take another look, you maybe connecting all the time, and just did not realize that you were connected.
This poem is a reminder, that it is ok to feel emotions such as sadness. Emotions are ok to feel, but they do not need to define who we are. Your strength and identity come from within, not from the outside.
Spoken Prayer // Patience While the Lord Works in Your Life
This song describes the frustration of the time right before the Lord acts in your life, where you are asking for it to happen, and sometimes what happens is so subtle, or seemingly unimportant to you, but you made a difference in someone else’s life.
This song explains some of the difference between condemnation (which comes from people) and conviction (which comes from God), which is for the purpose of gentle and kind correction, which is needed as a part of the natural learning and growing process.
Spoken Prayer // For When You are Looking for Your Purpose
This prayer sheds some help and guidance for finding the clues that will help you to discover your purpose or deeper passions in life. These simple yet effective tools can help you find traces in your life, that were overlooked before.
I wrote this as I reflected on my life, some 10 years back. I remember I was sitting in a mega church, writing down answers to a long list in a form, which was to be submitted as my last step for joining the leadership team. In a room full of people, I realized in an instant, that I was in the wrong place. I kept looking for someone to tell me what I deep down, already knew. I knew, but I had not yet believed, until that moment. From that day on, I began to start a journey, where I would discover my intuition, and that it would help me gather the clues, that would give me the guidance and direction, that I had been seeking for so long. I met many people, and yet no one really seemed to understand intuition. The best I can describe it, is that when a flower blooms, the pedals grow around the flower, and a cocoon of sorts is formed. This cocoon does not represent what is growing inside the flower. It is a shell that protects and secures, that which is inside. I feel that what I had done for most of my early life, was to dream about that cocoon, and what it was, and I kept thinking, this thing this shell, is that what I am? It was unclear to me the steps to follow to bloom that cocoon, and that what I was, was inside that cocoon. Until it opened up, until I could see inside, my life was hidden, it was a mystery. Nothing came together, noting fit that I could see. When the cocoon opened, then I could see how things fit together, how things in my life, the most subtle things sometimes, how they had played a part, and shaped me in a certain way, and I could see that, how it worked. So what I am saying, is that if you don’t know who you are, that is ok. The shell might not be opened yet, do not lose sleep over that. To get the shell to open, you have to go through a process of self-awareness and learning to lean on your intuition, or inner voice. Those things help open the shell.
It is easy to feel like you have lost all of your joy and happiness, this song suggests, that instead of losing happiness and joy, it may just be hidden beneath junk and clutter that has come into your life.
There are times in your life, when you feel like you can not get ahead, you keep making the same mistakes, and you feel trapped by your past. This you can be set free from, and your future no longer needs to be a replay of your past.
There are many ways in which people find God. Some are reflections and shadows, the real thing, is a truly personal relationship thru Jesus Christ. I wrote this because I have read many books, and I read about all these different ways people try to envision God, or gain some kind of power. Then it hit me, that for them, at those times of life, that is all that the had. They did not know any better. If someone says look the sun and the moon, and that is a creation, and I symbolize God to that, then that is where they are. When the earth was flat, that is what it was, no one knew any better, so you do what you know to do. It is better to try and be wrong, than to not try at all. Then I watched videos of people meditating on words, to gain power, and still the same. The word, is the breath of God. Sure it is close, but the words, you could use any word. It is not the word itself that you speak over and over again, it is the breath of God. The word that is spoken is a reflection of the breath of God. Just like the sun and the moon, are reflections of the creation, that God created. The Old Testament is filled with what was called idolatry. That is symbols being worshipped, rather than God. The difference is that the people of God, they were told not to do this, and they did it anyway. How can someone who does not know God, be suffering from idolatry, if that is the closet thing that they have to God. I like what a friend said, those who are seeking the light shall find more of it. If someone asks, who is the light, or who is the creator, the answer is Jesus Christ, the son of the living God. The God of the Hebrews, the God of the Bible. Why are the Hebrews so special, because that is who God made himself know to personally first. Did others find God as well, yes, God has a connection to everyone, and everyone who wants to know Him, has the ability to know Him. You can choose the reflection, or you can choose something which is much greater, the source.
